Aviation- Air Mobility

Investments in next-generation transportation technologies in Northwest Arkansas are opening incredible opportunities for students interested in aviation, air mobility, and aerospace.

Through Ignite Aviation – Air Mobility, students gain hands-on experience with drones, simulators, and full-aircraft work, enabling them to build an FAA-certified airplane while developing mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineering skills. Arkansas is already a national leader in Aerospace and Defense, with over 190 companies involved in aircraft & parts manufacturing, maintenance/repair/overhaul, component production, and defense contracting. It’s the state’s top export.

Construction Management

Thousands of people move into the region each year to live and work, creating demand for residential, commercial, and other building infrastructure. Ignite students train to meet this demand through hands-on instruction in construction techniques and technologies, design, professional practices, and standards in the construction industry. Construction professionals partner with this program to introduce careers in construction and project management through access to working construction sites.

Culinary Arts

Ignite Culinary Arts Strand prepares students for opportunities through partnership with Brightwater, A Center for the Study of Food. Future chefs, restaurateurs, managers, food scientists, and product developers discover and hone their passion for food preparation and presentation in a world-class culinary environment. Students learn more than “cooking”. Through internships and mentorships at the region’s top-rated restaurants, they gain real-world experience in entrepreneurship, sustainability, nutrition, and the farm-to-table movement.

Digital Media

Digital Media students create multi-media content with industry-standard equipment and software applications. Collaborating with local and regional businesses, non-profits, and community members, students work with design and production professionals to learn the process of creating compelling stories for social media, short films, and corporate audiences. Students work with local production companies to gain real, relevant experience in all aspects of digital media.

Education Innovation

Education Innovation is not just about preparing future educators; it's about reimagining what education can be. Rooted in the belief that today's classrooms must evolve as fast as the world around them, this strand empowers students to lead change through a blend of STEM education, arts integration, and student-centered design. Students explore what it means to teach, lead, and serve in PK–12, support services, and community-based education while gaining the tools to design learning experiences that are inclusive, immersive, and future-ready.

Engineering- Industrial Design

The Ignite Engineering - Industrial Design program empowers students to become problem-solvers and creators in high-demand technical fields.

Through immersive, hands-on experiences in mechanical systems, robotics, CNC manufacturing, and programmable logic controls, students gain the technical and design skills needed to thrive in automation, advanced manufacturing, and engineering.

Global Business

Students in Global Business are immersed in this business environment to explore careers guided by professional mentors, guest facilitators, workshops, and site visits. Students collaborate to design solutions to authentic challenges presented by local, regional, and global businesses. Projects and internships provide real, relevant experiences in supply chain management, data analysis, marketing, logistics, entrepreneurship, and other operations in a business environment.

Health Sciences

gnite Health Sciences prepares students for these opportunities through hands-on, student-driven, collaborative learning with healthcare professionals. Students explore careers in the program's state-of-the-art learning lab with professional equipment, medical devices, and full-size patient simulators that mimic human anatomy and physiology. Additionally, students work alongside care teams in hospitals, clinics, and other health care facilities, gaining hands-on experience in both traditional and integrative health approaches.

Law- Public Policy

Ignite Law & Public Policy offers a comprehensive curriculum tailored to prepare students for careers in these fields. It equips students with an understanding of legal systems, government structures, and public policy issues.

Technology

Ignite Technology offers exploration in Network Security, Data Science, Cloud Computing, and Emerging Technologies. Students in the Technology Strand collaboratively explore new technologies to develop solutions for real-world problems. Projects and Internships connect tech professionals, experts, and entrepreneurs to support the exploration and development of ideas and innovation. Students are also encouraged to follow their passions and experiment with technology to pursue their interests.
